Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to integrated river flood detection and water quality analysis. A sensor pole (102) positioned at a predetermined distance from a riverbank water edge carries a water level sensor (104) and a water quality sensor assembly (106) at a mounting height above the maximum anticipated flood level. A wireless transceiver (108) communicates data with a second sensor pole (110) at a downstream location. A hardware processor (112), coupled to memory (114), receives water level and water quality data, computes a rate-of-rise value via temporal derivative analysis, and extracts deviation values of water quality parameters from stored baseline values. The hardware processor (112) generates a composite propagation profile by correlating temporal offsets between upstream and downstream measurements to determine direction and rate of propagation of flood or contamination events, and generates a graduated alert signal indicating flood or water contamination conditions.
