The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system that comprises a wheelchair structural frame (102) supporting a seating assembly and a pressure sensor array (104) disposed on seating surfaces to detect load distribution and pressure concentration across a seat cushion, backrest, armrest padding, and leg-rest assembly. Inertial measurement units (106) mounted on the wheelchair structural frame (102) measure angular orientation, motion characteristics, and posture inclination of the user. A vision-based posture detection module (108) captures posture information and skeletal keypoints corresponding to body alignment. Sensor data are processed through a sensor fusion engine (112) by an embedded processing unit (110) to generate fused posture and ergonomic assessment data. Based on detected posture deviations, corrective control signals are generated to actuate a motorized ergonomic adjustment mechanism (114) and a pressure redistribution mechanism (116). Feedback interface modules (118) provide posture alerts, and posture monitoring data are transmitted to external monitoring devices.
