Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (102) and a method (400) for automated measurement-based garment fabrication. The system (102) includes a measurement determination unit (104), a garment design generation unit (106), an environment data acquisition unit (108), a user interface unit (110), a communication unit (112), a knitting machine (114), and a control unit (116). The control unit (116) processes image data to extract body dimension data, processes environmental data to determine textile parameters for a geographic location of the user, and generates knitting instructions based on the body dimension data, garment representation data, a design selection input, and the textile parameters. The knitting machine (114) receives the knitting instructions and fabricates a garment with textile properties suited to the determined environmental conditions.
