Abstract: Disclosed is a system (200) and method (400) for applying a solution to an issue associated with a database (114) in a communication network (100). The system identifies the issue by analyzing a database health checkup report generated periodically at specific time intervals. Upon determining that the issue is a complex issue, the system identifies a solution from one or more solutions for the complex issue and a number of weightage points associated with the solution using a mapping table. The system further applies the identified solution to the issue associated with the database. Further, the system determines whether the applied solution is suitable for the identified complex issue. Upon determination, the system updates the number of weightage points associated with the applied solution. Fig. 2
