Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a portable integrated hardware–software system (100) and method (300) for real-time structural response monitoring using one or more multi-axial Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensors (108). The system (100) comprises a data acquisition (DAQ) unit (110) configured to receive raw inertial measurements, including rotation, acceleration, and temperature signals, from the IMU sensors (108) and convert them into digital data streams. A server (102) with one or more processors (104) and memory (106) parses and synchronizes the data, processes it to generate structural response outputs such as acceleration time-history, rotation time-history, and vibration characteristics, and provides graphical visualization. The system (100) further enables storage of processed data and remote transmission to client devices, supporting continuous, field-deployable monitoring of civil, industrial, and mechanical structures for real-time assessment, historical analysis, and predictive maintenance.
