The method includes reconstructing the input signal from the probabilistic signal representation using the probabilistic signal reconstruction model. The method includes determining a reconstruction discrepancy based on the input signal and the reconstructed input signal. The method includes updating one or more parameters of the probabilistic signal reconstruction model based on the reconstruction discrepancy and the noise characterization. The method includes generating a noise-aware latent representation of the input signal using the updated probabilistic signal reconstruction model for noise-aware representation learning.
