Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a system (100) and a method (300) for operation of an application. The system (100) initiates a cloud application session on a cloud server (105) for accessing one or more applications hosted on the cloud server (105) and configured to be executed on the cloud server (105). A thin client user initiates the cloud application session by providing a first user input. Further, a second user input is received from a thin client device indicative of selection of the application from the one or more applications. The system (100) generates a matchmaking information within the cloud application session to identify an opponent user and initiates an application usage by the first user and the opponent user. Finally, a result data is generated within the cloud application session based on the application usage, and is provided to the first user and the opponent user. [
