MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621052726 A) filed by Sage University on April 24, 2026, for System And Method For Portable Beverage Temperature Regulation With Self-Heating, Cooling And Solar Charging.
Inventors include Dr. Prashant Jain; Dr. Amrita Soni; Dr. Aarti Sharma; Prof. Rajni Jainwal; Naveen Kushwah; and Manish Pal.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to portable beverage temperature regulation. The system (100) includes a bottle body (102) having a beverage chamber (104) in thermal contact with a first thermal element (106) and a second thermal element (108). The first thermal element (106) raises beverage temperature toward a first predefined threshold via resistive heating, while the second thermal element (108) reduces beverage temperature toward a second predefined threshold via thermoelectric cooling. Both elements (106), (108) are structurally independent yet share the single beverage chamber (104). A control circuit (110) selectively activates either thermal element based on user-selected heating or cooling modes, ensuring safe sequential switching by deactivating one element before activating the other. The control circuit (110) converts real-time temperature signals from the beverage chamber (104) into digital temperature readings and terminates power to the respective thermal element upon reaching the predefined threshold, preventing over-heating or over-cooling.
