Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to portable cryptographic key management for electrically autonomous cryptographic execution. The system (100) includes a rechargeable battery (102), a power management circuit (104), a USB interface (106), a microcontroller (112), a battery-backed key storage memory (114), an integrated display (116), and a plurality of physical input buttons (110). The power management circuit (104) transitions the system (100) between active, idle, and deep sleep power states, and selectively disconnects USB-supplied power (206) from internal circuits while maintaining USB data communication. The microcontroller (112) generates and stores cryptographic keys using electrical power from the rechargeable battery, isolating key generation from potentially compromised host power sources. When connected to a host computer (208) via the USB interface (106), the microcontroller (112) executes cryptographic operation requests using solely battery power, displaying operation parameters on the integrated display (116) and requiring user confirmation through the physical input buttons (110) before execution.
