Abstract: 1. ABSTRACT A computer-implemented system and method for client-side pre-transmission Data Loss Prevention (DLP) in generative artificial intelligence platforms are disclosed. The system comprises a browser interception layer configured to intercept outgoing HTTP request payloads containing user prompt data prior to network socket egress; a cross-context communication bridge; a local high-performance native detection engine executing a multi-stage scanning pipeline; a risk assessment engine configured to aggregate additive threat scores across multiple sensitive data categories; and an enforcement module configured to dynamically apply a security verdict selected from ALLOW, WARN, MASK, and BLOCK. The native detection engine utilizes linear multi-pattern matching, regular expressions, Shannon entropy calculations, and structural checksum algorithms to evaluate payloads within a sub-millisecond latency envelope (~1 ms), ensuring real-time data loss prevention without impairing user experience.
