MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611095014 A) filed by Ofintelligence Technologies Private Limited on August 05, 2026, for System And Method For Predicting Ground-Contact Anchor Points.

Inventors include Gupta, Tushar; Shandilya, Piyush; and Jain, Adarsh.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A system (103) and a method (800) for predicting a ground-contact anchor point for a detected person are disclosed. The system (103) obtains detection data including a bounding region defining a visible extent of the detected person and pose keypoints corresponding to anatomical landmarks, wherein a subset of the anatomical landmarks comprises bilateral landmarks having left and right counterparts. The system (103) merges landmark centers from the bilateral landmarks, computes body proportion ratios using spatial relationships between the merged landmark centers and the bounding region, selects a highest-priority visible anatomical reference group from a predefined hierarchy derived from the merged landmark centers, estimates a standing height using a body proportion ratio corresponding to the selected anatomical reference group, and determines the ground-contact anchor point based on a horizontal midpoint of the bounding region and a vertical position derived from the estimated standing height.
