MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641117896 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Madras Iit Madras on September 30, 2026, for System And Method For Proactive In-Situ Layout Orchestration In Dynamic Mmwave Communication Environments.

Inventors include Chakraborty, Ayon; Datta, Arko; and Paul, Akash Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed are a system (106) and method (500) for in-situ layout orchestration in a millimeter-wave (mmWave) communication environment (100). The method (500) comprises receiving environmental data associated with a physical environment (102) and a plurality of objects (104) therein and constructing an object-level Radio Frequency (RF)-aware digital twin. A subset of objects likely to undergo quasi-static displacement within a predefined prediction horizon is identified, along with corresponding probable destination regions. Based on candidate future object states, multiple candidate layout configurations are generated by selectively modifying positions or orientations of the identified objects within the RF-aware digital twin. For each candidate layout configuration, consistency with a user-intent model and one or more wireless communication performance metrics are determined based on which at least one candidate layout configuration is selected as recommended layout configuration. The recommended layout configuration is rendered on a user interface for mitigating communication degradation while preserving operational intent. Representative Figure: FIG. 5
