Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Processing Recycled Concrete Aggregate 5 10 15 The present invention relates to a system (100) and method (200) for processing recycled concrete aggregate. The system (100) comprises a rotary drum (102) adapted to receive recycled concrete aggregate material, one or more impact media (104) disposed inside the rotary drum (102), and a perforated screening structure (106) associated with the rotary drum (102). During rotation of the rotary drum (102), the impact media (104) impact and scrub the recycled concrete aggregate material to generate first particles comprising detached mortar fines and second particles comprising recycled concrete aggregate particles. The perforated screening structure (106) comprises a plurality of openings permitting passage of the first particles therethrough while retaining the second particles within the rotary drum (102). The system (100) further comprises one or more internal protrusions or baffles and optionally a dust collection unit (112). Simultaneous scrubbing and separation improve recycled aggregate processing efficiency. Figure 1A
