Each sensor node is equipped with a wireless communication module for data transmission to a central data platform, an edge computing unit for local data processing, and a power management system that includes a battery and optionally a solar panel for energy harvesting. The modular design allows for customization and configuration of sensor types to meet specific agricultural needs, while the wireless communication module employs low-power protocols to ensure efficient data transmission. The edge computing unit reduces latency and bandwidth usage by processing data closer to the source, and the power management system optimizes energy usage to extend the operational life of the sensor nodes. The central data platform aggregates and analyzes data from the sensor nodes and is accessible through user interfaces, including mobile applications.
