Abstract: A system and method for real-time battery performance and energy management in an electric vehicle using machine learning is disclosed. The system comprises a battery sensor network for acquiring battery operating parameters, a vehicle data acquisition module for collecting vehicle operational information, a preprocessing module for conditioning the acquired data, a feature extraction engine for generating battery performance indicators, and a machine learning prediction engine configured to estimate battery State of Charge, State of Health, Remaining Useful Life, degradation rate, thermal condition, and anticipated energy demand. An adaptive energy optimization engine determines optimized power allocation, while a charging optimization module, battery cell balancing controller, and thermal management controller regulate charging, cell balancing, and battery temperature. A decision engine coordinates battery management actions through a vehicle control interface, and a data repository maintains historical operational information for continuous model refinement, thereby improving battery lifespan, energy efficiency, driving range, operational safety, and overall electric vehicle performance.
