MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611104139 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 29, 2026, for System And Method For Retrospective Reconstruction Of Physiological States From Multimodal Physiological Signals.
Inventors include Ayush Kumar; Ayushi Choudhary; and Charnpreet Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for retrospective reconstruction of physiological states using multimodal physiological signals. The system acquires physiological signals including heart-related parameters, oxygen saturation, body temperature, pulse-related measurements, movement, activity, position, and acceleration from wearable, portable, IoT-enabled, or healthcare sensing devices. Acquired signals are synchronized and conditioned to reduce noise, artifacts, outliers, and inconsistencies. A temporal analysis module identifies trends, correlations, dependencies, variations, and other temporal relationships among the signals. A reverse interpretation module processes the temporal relationships to infer one or more preceding physiological states without requiring a complete continuous historical medical record. A reconstruction module organizes the inferred states into a temporal representation, while a visual representation module generates timelines, graphs, charts, or physiological progression representations. The system thereby provides temporal context regarding physiological evolution from currently available multimodal physiological data and may assist healthcare professionals in clinical, emergency, remote, and resource-constrained environments.
