Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system 102 and a method 400 for robust and discriminative face recognition in near-infrared domain among users. The method 400 includes receiving 402 non-synthetic image frames and generating 404 synthetic image frames. Further, the method 400 includes filtering 406 a set of synthetic image frames and comparing 408 each synthetic image frame with each non-synthetic image frame. Further, the method 400 includes determining 410 a matching score corresponding to each non-synthetic image frame and determining 412 that the matching score of a set of non-synthetic image frames is within a predefined range. Further, the method 400 includes grouping 414 the set of non-synthetic image frames for pre-training the AI model to categorize users in real-time. Therefore, the present disclosure reduces data collection time and cost, and enabling real-time user categorization through synthetic image frames generation, ensuring improved personalization, and safety in automotive vehicles.
