Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Sensor-Based Predictive Maintenance of Industrial Machinery The present invention relates to a system and method for sensor based predictive maintenance of industrial machines. It acquires heterogeneous physical parameters: vibration, temperature, electrical, acoustic, pressure, rotational- speed, load, torque and flow measurements. It synchronises the measurements with machine operating cycles or rotational phases. An operating-state identification module generates a fingerprint that is machine-specific and operating-state-dependent. An adaptive sensor fusion engine generates a cross-modal condition signature. A degradation trajectory engine estimates progressive degradation by calculating the temporal deviation from the fingerprint, while a fault propagation module recognises degradation propagation among physically connected components. A failure horizon is determined and a closed-loop control module adjusts at least one machine operating parameter within a safe operating envelope. Post-intervention sensor measurements provide a physical response signature for verification of degradation reduction, stabilisation or continuation, thereby enabling adaptive predictive maintenance, reduction of unnecessary shutdown, better fault localisation and increased reliability of machinery.
