Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system and method for thermal management of a battery pack of a hybrid vehicle. The system (100) comprises an air pump (118) configured to supply a compressed air stream to an exhaust manifold (108) of an Internal Combustion engine (104) of the vehicle, and a vortex tube (120) adapted to receive and convert the compressed air stream into a hot air stream and a cold air stream. A plurality of valves (122) are configured to control supply of the compressed air stream to the vortex tube (120), and control supply of the hot air stream and the cold air stream towards the battery pack (102). A controller (128) is configured to control actuation of each of the valves (122) to regulate supply of the hot air stream or the cold air stream towards the battery pack (102), based on an operating temperature thereof.
