MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621047956 A) filed by Sage University on April 15, 2026, for System And Method For Trend-Deviation Based Pre-Failure Control Switching Of Robotic Platforms.
Inventors include Dr. Prashant Jain; Dr. Abhay Kothari; Dr. Ati Jain; and Unnati Chourasiya.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to a system (100) for robotic platforms. The system (100) includes a multi-sensor array (102) installed within a robotic platform that continuously monitors a plurality of operating parameters. A microcontroller (104) operatively coupled to the multi-sensor array (102) generates a baseline trend representing normal operating behaviour of the robotic platform from sensor data. The microcontroller (104) detects trend deviations by comparing real-time sensor data against the baseline trend prior to occurrence of any fault condition. Upon detection of a trend deviation, a control switching unit (106) switches the robotic platform from a normal operating mode to a safer operating mode by progressively reducing the plurality of operating parameters. The system (100) enables proactive, pre-failure intervention, preventing potential damage and enhancing operational safety of robotic platforms before actual faults occur. FIG. 1
