MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641088124 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on July 20, 2026, for System And Method For Trust-Aware Personal Medical Record Management With Versioned Integrity And Provenance Validation.

Inventors include Jayashree; Nikhil Gaur; Grishm Ghosh; and Dr. J. Vijayashree.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: A trust-aware personal medical record container system for secure and interoperable healthcare data management is disclosed. The system comprises a simulation and virtual sensor module (101) configured to encapsulate medical records into standardized secure containers together with structured metadata. A feature extraction module (102) generates provenance metadata, cryptographic integrity proofs, and authentication credentials for enabling tamper detection and source verification. A cloud storage environment (103) maintains immutable version lineage and historical traceability of medical records through cryptographically linked versions. A results and analysis engine (104) enforces embedded consent policies, access controls, and authorization constraints during medical record access and sharing operations. A model training module (105) enables secure interoperable exchange across distributed healthcare infrastructures, while a model evaluation module (106) records tamper-resistant audit logs associated with lifecycle events. The invention enables self-governing, provenance-aware, and policy-controlled medical record interoperability independent of host platforms. Fig
