MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641095403 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on August 06, 2026, for System And Method For Water Quality Management Of Aquaculture Environments.
Inventors include S. Gayathri Devi; M. Sujatha; and N. Sivaramakrishnan.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: A water quality management system (100) for an aquaculture environment may include a plurality of sensors (102) to acquire water-quality data representative of one or more water-quality parameters of the aquaculture environment, a communication interface (104) to receive forecast environmental data from one or more weather information sources (150), and a controller (106) communicatively coupled thereto. The controller (106) may include one or more processors (106A) and a memory (106B) storing executable instructions that, when executed, cause the controller (106) to receive the water-quality data and the forecast environmental data, generate integrated environmental information by fusing the received data, process the integrated environmental information using one or more machine-learning models to predict future water-quality conditions, determine anticipated water-quality deviations, and generate control signals for controlling one or more water treatment units (108) to perform pre-emptive corrective actions to maintain desired water-quality conditions within the aquaculture environment.
