Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD OF AUTOMATED PET FEEDING WITH HEALTH MONITORING AND TIME-BASED ACCESS CONTROL OF PET This invention relates to a system and a method of automated pet feeding with health monitoring and time-based access control of a pet. The system (100) is initiated by the scanning unit (2), which detects and reads the pet’s unique RFID tag (T). A processing unit (1) cross-checks the scanned tag (T) against a list of authorized IDs stored in its internal memory. Feeding is allowed only during these scheduled time windows, ensuring time-based access control. Once time validation is passed, an ultrasonic sensor (4) measures the distance (d) from it to the surface of the food bowl to determine food level. The processing unit (1) sends a PWM signal to the servo motor (3), which mechanically rotates the food dispensing mechanism to release a pre-measured portion of food. After dispensing, the motor (3) returns to its idle position to stop the flow of food. A temperature sensor (4a) captures the pet’s body temperature without contact and the system sends an email notification to the pet owner via a configured SMTP service. This invention aims to provide a reliable, health-conscious, and fully automated solution for smart pet care.
