Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD TO SORT OBJECTS USING A MULTI-DIRECTIONAL TILTING AND SPLIT- OPENING PLATFORM IN RVMs The present invention pertains to a system and methodology for sorting objects by using a multi- directional tilting and split-opening platform in RVMs. The present invention relates to a platform for use in RVMs that is comprised of an intake area, a multi-directional tilting and split-opening platform, actuator assemblies, a sensor array, and a control and processing unit. In particular, the sensor array obtains object related data that includes information relating to images, material properties, dimensions, spectral response patterns, and weight profiles of the objects deposited within the intake area. Thereafter, the control and processing unit utilizes artificial intelligence/machine learning classification algorithms on the obtained data to classify recyclable objects based on their properties and to issue routing commands. Based on the generated classifications, the platform is tilted to direct objects into respective collection bins via gravitational force. The platform further consists of split-opening elements for discharging unclassified or rejected objects into a secondary bin. Fig. 3
