MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641050891 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on April 21, 2026, for System For Artificial Intelligence (ai)-Based Detection Of Silent Failures In Computing Systems And Method Thereof.
Inventors include R. Sujatha; Prem Kumar; and Gunvardhan.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a system (100) and method for detection of silent failures in computing systems 10 using output behavior monitoring and artificial intelligence (AI)-based analysis. The system (100) comprises a computing device (102), a processor (104), a memory 106, and plurality of modules (107) executed by the processor (104) for real-time monitoring and processing of output behavior generated during execution of the computing system (10). The system (100) compares real-time output behavior with learned baseline behavior to detect deviations indicating abnormal execution. The system (100) detects logical inconsistencies in output behavior in the absence of system-level errors or alerts. The system (100) enables early detection of silent failures, thereby preventing propagation of incorrect outputs to dependent systems and improving reliability and operational trust.
