MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641068532 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on June 01, 2026, for System For Inventory Restock Management And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Sankar P; Tahir Mujtaba; and K U Shashanth.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a system (100) and a method (200) for restocking inventory in a predetermined dark area is disclosed. A data acquisition unit (102) with one or more sensors (102-1) detects inventory parameters and generates inventory data. A controller (104) with a processor (106) and a memory (108) receives the inventory data and constructs a graph of stock keeping units using a graph construction engine (104-1). One or more SKU parameters are extracted and processed using a graph convolution network (GCN) (104-2) to generate node feature representations. A consistency and elimination unit (104-3) evaluates constraints including expiry limits and demand conditions to eliminate infeasible states. A control decision for restocking is determined based on processed graph and evaluated constraints.
