MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641092446 A) filed by Indian Space Research Organisation on July 30, 2026, for System For Optically Isolated Impedance Controlled Latching Solid State Switching.
Inventors include Noel Philip Valiyakalayil; and Saleem Haneefa.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system (100) for optically isolated impedance controlled latching solid state switching. The system (100) includes a load-side switching circuit having first and second semiconductor switches (116, 118) connected between a supply terminal (120) and a load terminal (122), and an optically isolated command interface having a first optocoupler (102) and a second optocoupler (104) for receiving ON and OFF commands. A latching control circuit includes a digital potentiometer (112), a fixed resistor (110), and timer and delay networks implemented through a logic circuit (106) to generate increment or decrement pulses based on command duration. A buffer integrated circuit (114) applies a gate-source voltage based on a non-volatile wiper position of the digital potentiometer (112), thereby providing an ON state, an OFF state, or a selected impedance state.
