The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: A hardware-free system and method for real-time GPS fleet tracking of mobile retail vans using the operator's existing browser-based Point-of-Sale (POS) application as the sole location broadcasting client. A JavaScript location service module reads the W3C browser Geolocation API and transmits geographic coordinates to a backend server at 10-second intervals via JWT-authenticated HTTP POST. Coordinates are stored as GeoJSON Point documents in a geospatial database using a MongoDB upsert operation. An administrative React web component polls the backend at 5-second intervals and renders the van's live position on a Google Maps embed. A session persistence mechanism employing browser localStorage enables automatic broadcasting resume after page refresh without operator re- authentication, eliminating proprietary GPS hardware, vehicle installation, and separate SIM subscriptions.
