MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202642080902 A) filed by Vedagiri Ganesan; and Mageswari Ganesan on July 01, 2026, for System For Reducing Sea Surface Temperature (sst) And Sea Surface Area.

Inventors include Vedagiri Ganesan; and Mageswari Ganesan.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: A heat-transfer system is provided for localized reduction of sea surface temperature (SST) at marine seamounts to mitigate near-shore thermal expansion. The system comprises a stainless-steel wire mesh (202) that is configured to be positioned at a seamount. The stainless-steel wire mesh (202) is structured to extend vertically for a distance of 3 meters above the sea surface and 3 meters below the sea surface to define a continuous thermal conductive path, and is configured to transfer the heat from the top layer of the sea surface to the atmospheric gas medium via the portion of the stainless-steel mesh (202) extending above the water line, thereby inducing localized thermal contraction to reduce the coastal water volume.
