Inventors include V. Sowmiya; Prithiviraj S; Gautham Krishna; Abhinav Manoj; and Anand V D.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: Abstract Nowadays, we rely on computer networks for just about everything, which unfortunately means cyberattacks are becoming more frequent and complex. It's almost impossible for a person to monitor all that traffic by hand, and older security tools often miss new threats they haven't seen before. To help out, we built a network anomaly detection system using machine learning. Instead of relying on just one algorithm, we combined the strengths of Random Forest, XGBoost, and LightGBM into an ensemble. Our system analyzes network traffic to figure out if it's normal or an actual attack, and it even provides a confidence score for its prediction. This not only makes the network more secure but also takes a lot of the manual work off the people running it.
