Abstract: ABSTRACT “SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CLASSIFYING AN ACCESS POINT (AP) IN A WIRELESS FIDELITY (WI-FI) SYSTEM” Embodiments herein disclose a system and a method for classifying an access point (AP) in a wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) system. The method includes receiving, by a station (302), at least one signal parameter associated with the Wi-Fi system (300) by performing a signal scanning of at least one available access point (AP) (304) in an area of the station (302). The method further includes pre-processing the received at least one signal parameter and a sensor information. The method further includes determining a mobility status of the AP (304) in the area of the station. The mobility status is determined by classifying the at least one AP (304) as at least one of: a static AP and a non-static AP based on an analysis of the received at least one signal parameter, the sensor information, and a historical data using at least one data driven model .(510) FIG. 5
