Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system (102) for generating notification for an event. An acquisition module (212) obtains input content data. An extraction module (214) extracts features from frames of the input content data. An analysis module (216) creates content embeddings of the input content data. An event detection module (218) detect events from sequence of frames. An arc construction module (220) creates character arc representation and narration arc representation, and merges them to create unified representation, and determine sub-plots by correlating the unified representation and the narration arc representation. The arc construction module (220) further determine foreshadowing elements among the sub-plots. A prediction module (222) generates the prediction of the upcoming sub-plot. A notification generation module (224) generates the notification for the event corresponding to the prediction of the upcoming sub-plot associated with real-time background video content based on the generated upcoming sub-plot and, the user information data.
