Abstract: The present disclosure provides cells that are competitive to cancer cells without starvation and exhaustion even in an environment in which glucose is depleted. More specifically, the present disclosure provides T cells with enhanced glucose uptake ability, wherein the T cells are modified such that the expression of glucose transporters in the T cells is regulated in response to changes in tumor microenvironmental conditions, and/or the T cells comprise a nucleic acid sequence encoding a glucose transporter operably linked to a tumor microenvironment sensing element that senses changes in tumor microenvironmental conditions.
