Abstract: ABSTRACT TECHNIQUES FOR SECURE AND DECENTRALIZED DOCUMENT PREPARATION, AUTHENTICATION, PRINTING AND STORAGE A method and a system for authenticating a secure print document (SPD) associated with a decentralized network are disclosed. The SPD is obtained for authentication, 5 and authentication data associated with the SPD is extracted from at least one of the SPD, a decentralized ledger, and a plurality of entities registered with the decentralized network. One or more authentication checks are performed on the SPD based on the extracted authentication data, at least in an offline mode, the offline mode allowing access to a local data repository which is periodically 10 updated. The authentication checks include a document integrity check, a temporal record check, an operational validity check, and a visual check, each directed to a different property of the SPD. The authenticity of the SPD is determined based on the authentication checks, whereby the determination is not controlled by any single verification mechanism. 15
