Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine an uplink power control scheme based on information indicative of one or more power control parameters. In some examples, the UE may receive the information and may calculate an uplink transmission power based on the determined uplink power control scheme. In some examples, the UE may calculate an uplink transmission power based on a downlink pathloss in accordance with a first power control scheme or the UE may calculate the uplink transmission power based on a reference pathloss and a pathloss offset in accordance with a second power control scheme. Accordingly, the UE may transmit one or more uplink signals in accordance with the calculated uplink transmission power.
