Abstract: 5 A method, apparatus and computer program is described comprising: receiving configuration information from a network node of a mobile communication system, the configuration information identifying a transmitting node and a receiving node for communication with a terminal device, wherein the configuration information further comprises transient propagation similarity information providing an ordered list of 10 reference signals for transmission from the transmitting node to the receiving node; receiving one or more reference signals from the transmitting node; receiving an activation signal transmitted by the transmitting node to the terminal device; receiving a response signal, wherein the response signal includes a response generated at the terminal device in response to the activation signal transmitted by the transmitting node 15 to the terminal device; and removing, based on an updated estimated channel response between the transmitting node and the receiving node at a time of transmitting the activation signal by the transmitting node to a terminal device an estimated contribution of the activation signal transmitted by the transmitting node to the terminal device from the response signal.
