Abstract: The present invention discloses a terrain-parameterized multi-domain control system for hybrid vehicles. The system uses route and elevation preview information to anticipate upcoming terrain conditions such as uphill or downhill segments. Based on this prediction, the system modifies vehicle operating limits before the terrain transition occurs. A unified constraint envelope is constructed incorporating battery state-of-charge limits, propulsion torque limits, thermal safety margins, regenerative braking capacity, and emission constraints. The envelope is dynamically reshaped according to predicted terrain to improve energy efficiency and reduce sudden load variations. A supervisory System Limiting Constraint Logic enforces absolute safety boundaries to ensure hardware protection and emission compliance. The invention enhances fuel efficiency, increases regenerative energy recovery, reduces emission spikes, and improves component durability during real-world driving conditions by coordinating multiple operating domains simultaneously and preparing the powertrain in advance.
