MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541088497 A) filed by Indian Space Research Organization on September 17, 2025, for Test Methodology For Variable Pressure Load Simulation On Any Structures.
Inventors include Philip K. Mathew; and Rajeev G Nair.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The proposed invention relates to development of test methodology for variable pressure simulation and load measurement on any structures. Since payload fairing for launch vehicles are statically tested to qualify for the critical design load conditions during the flight. The present invention is an improvement of the existing methodology of load application in launch vehicle structural testing. This methodology is devised for simulating variable pressure on any geometric shape and measurement of loads acting on the structure. Loads simulated are measured in real time through load cells connected to the pressure chamber. Simulation of variable pressure and quantification of loads in real time will make a realistic test condition for highly optimised hardware with borderline margins. The test setup is particularly useful for aerospace structures based on internal and external pressure loading.
