MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511004519 A) filed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited on January 20, 2025, for Tetra-Coordinated Phosphite Ligand For Production Of N-Butanal And Method For Preparation Thereof.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a tetra-coordinated phosphite ligand represented by the structure of Formula (I). The present disclosure also relates to a method of preparation of a tetra-coordinated phosphite ligand represented by the structure of Formula (I). The present disclosure also provides a method for production of n- butanal. Using the synthesized tetra-coordinated phosphite ligand, excellent regioselectivity, with up to 98% n-butanal formation is achieved. Formula (I)
