Abstract: The present invention relates to an autonomous equine navigation and guidance system comprising a microcontroller unit including housed within a harness-mounted enclosure integrated with a solar power source, at least two high-torque servo motors operatively coupled to reins, and a control logic module in communication with the Google/External Maps Directions API for generating route-based actuation signals. The system is configured to detect proximity of the animal in the range of around 1 to 15 meters or more of an upcoming turn and actuate a selected rein for a duration of 2-10 seconds or more to induce directional change. The system further incorporates positive mechanical cue-based guidance, dead reckoning for GPS/internet loss, and movement modelling addressing equine impedance and compliance lag. It includes health monitoring, speed modulation, safety logging, payload fall detection, and low-visibility operational modes, thereby enabling adaptive, traceable, and safety-oriented autonomous navigation of animals along complex routes.
