Abstract: Severe water scarcity in many regions, especially arid and coastal regions, exists due to the increasing global demand for fresh water and climate change impacts. Solar desalination method, involving the application of reflectors and lenses with a tank for enhancement of desalination based on focusing of solar power onto seawater in acceleration of evaporation as well as vapor collection. In it, this is just imitation of the natural water cycle wherein it heats up the sea water through focused solar power to cause rapid evaporation together with increased fresh yield of freshwater. This technique can also be scaled to become appropriately applicable to small scale as well as community purposes. It has low maintenance, no emission, and a low carbon footprint; hence, it is the best solution for the water scarcity in arid, sun-rich regions.
