The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The MBT prescription mostly depends on perfect vertical placement to represent the appropriate torque, tip, and in-out values, and accurate bracket installation is crucial for attaining the best orthodontic results. Traditionally, MBT bracket gauges come in a variety of fixed heights (3.5 mm, 4 mm, 4.5 mm, and 5 mm), necessitating frequent gauge switching based on the type of tooth and the shape of the arch. This results in longer chairside times, as well as possible operator error and inconsistent bracket height selection. A universal MBT bracket positioning gauge has been created to get around these restrictions. This gadget combines the capabilities of several fixed-height gauges into a single, multipurpose tool that can be adjusted to different tooth shapes, enabling bracket height adjustment for each tooth with a single tool. The bonding process is made simpler, quicker, and more standardized by the design, which does away with the requirement for several different gauges. This invention improves bracket placement accuracy and repeatability, streamlines clinical procedures, and uses less equipment. Thus, the universal MBT gauge improves accuracy and efficiency in orthodontic bonding procedures and is a useful and affordable upgrade over traditional fixed-height MBT gauges.
