Abstract: A thermal energy management system (100) for energy conservation in a heat exchange process may include a thermal energy source (102) to supply heat to a process fluid (110), a heat exchanger (104) to transfer heat between process fluid (110) and a duty fluid (108) while maintaining fluidic separation therebetween, a process fluid circuit (116) to circulate process fluid (110) between thermal energy source (102) and heat exchanger (104), a duty fluid circuit (118) directs duty fluid (108) through heat exchanger (104) to receive heat from process fluid (110), a heat rejection assembly (112) including a chiller (112C) removes excess thermal energy from duty fluid (108) after heat exchange, and a control unit (106) operatively coupled to process fluid circuit (116) and duty fluid circuit (118) to regulate circulation, heat transfer and heat rejection operations based on process demand and environmental conditions to optimize thermal energy utilization and conserve energy.
