Abstract: Power transformer failures cause widespread outages and safety hazards, requiring advanced predictive health monitoring beyond conventional reactive protection. ThermoGrid Protect presents a Real-Time Transformer Fault Prediction and Cooling System integrating distributed fiber optic temperature sensing, inline photoacoustic dissolved gas analysis, acoustic partial discharge detection, and load transducers. An LSTM-based thermal prediction model forecasts hot-spot temperatures up to 4 hours ahead, while a Random Forest classifier integrates DGA ratios and PD metrics to classify transformer health states. Automated cooling control dynamically modulates pump and fan VFDs based on predicted thermal trajectories. Duval Triangle and IEC Ratio DGA interpretation provides fault type classification per IEC 60599 standard.
