The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: TIMING ADVANCE MEASUREMENT FOR LAYER 1/LAYER 2 TRIGGERED MOBILITY Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to timing advance (TA) measurement for layer 1 (L1)/layer 2 (L2) triggered mobility (LTM). In a method, an apparatus determines the number of radio link failures. For each of the radio link failures, a difference of a first TA value determined by the apparatus and a second TA value configured by a network device is equal to or less than a first threshold. In accordance with a determination that the number exceeds a second threshold, the apparatus transmits, to the network device, TA preference information indicating that a TA value is preferred to be determined by the apparatus than configured by the network device. In this way, the TA value for LTM may be determined in an efficient way.
