Abstract: This specification relates to systems, methods, and apparatus for monitoring the use of a tipper. According to a first aspect of this specification, there is described a computer implemented method for preventing roll over of a tipper vehicle. The method comprises: receiving, from each of a plurality of angle sensors of the tipper vehicle, respective angle measurements of the tipper vehicle while a dump box of the tipper vehicle is in use; receiving, from each of a plurality of load sensors of the tipper vehicle, respective load measurements of the dump box of the tipper vehicle while a dump box of the tipper vehicle is in use; determining, based on the respective angle measurements of the tipper vehicle and the respective load measurements of a dump box of the tipper vehicle, that the tipper vehicle is in an unsafe configuration; and in response to determining that the tipper vehicle is in an unsafe configuration, controlling the position of the dump box of the tipper vehicle.
