Abstract: Breathleaf is a zero-electricity plant based natural air purification system, which comprises of multilayer, bio, filtration process, passive, airflow, and double layer, terracotta body. Multilayer filtration system is a structure which has jute/cotton mesh, activated charcoal, Coconut charcoal, pebbles, soil and plant. These layers filter the air at different levels and provide clean, purified and oxygen rich air. Coconut charcoal has tendency to remove bad odour as well; airflow mechanism allows air to enter from bottom vents and move to upward direction through layers exiting from top. Air flows naturally through these layers via passive air flow driven by convection and pressure differences. Double Layer, terracotta body helps in air suction along with maintaining humidity, provides cooling & improving purification efficiency. Breathleaf is a low cost, sustainable, continuous and no electricity alternative to conventional air purifier, which is perfect for indoor space.
