MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521006200 A) filed by Tata Motors Limited on January 24, 2025, for Torque Filtration In Electric Vehicles.

Inventors include Jain, Mahak; S. , Chidhanand; and Warule, Prasad.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT TORQUE FILTRATION IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES The present subject matter discloses a system for performing torque filtration in electric vehicles. The system (106, 200) receives a first input 5 from one of an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal of an electric vehicle. Based on the first input, the system (106, 200) may determine an operational mode of the electric vehicle (102) from one of an acceleration mode, a deceleration mode, and a regenerative mode. The system (106, 200) may further receive a second input indicative of a torque demand of 10 the electric vehicle (102) from one or more sensors (230) of the vehicle. The system may apply a multi-phase filter to meet the torque demand of the determined operational mode of the electric vehicle. Accordingly, the system outputs a filtered torque for each phase of the multi-phase filter to perform traction control.
