Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications. Provided are a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) processing method and apparatus, and a storage medium. In the present disclosure, a medium access control control element (MAC CE) is sent to a terminal device UE, wherein the MAC CE is used for explicitly or implicitly activating or deactivating a TCI of a candidate cell; the explicit mode comprises: carrying, in the MAC CE, instruction information used for activating or deactivating a TCI of a target candidate cell; and the implicit mode comprises: on the basis of a set MAC CE, activating or deactivating the TCI of the target candidate cell, or, carrying cell identification information of at least one candidate cell in the MAC CE, so as to activate a TCI of the at least one candidate cell. The present disclosure can solve the technical problems of additional requirements for UE performance and additional power consumption of a network device caused by the deactivation of a TCI of a candidate cell being not supported.
