Abstract: The growing popularity of group travel and trekking has led to the emergence of diverse travelling groups formed by friends, families, and strangers who share a common interest in exploring new places together. However, travel enthusiasts often face difficulty in discovering such groups, connecting with their members, and coordinating trip-related communication through a single platform. Most existing solutions are either generic social networking tools not tailored to travel groups, or standalone group-chat applications that lack structured group discovery, membership management, and privacy control. The present invention introduces Travel Together, a Python-based Travel Group Social System that allows users to register, discover travel groups by name or type, view group details, and communicate with group members in real time. The system further allows users to create their own travel groups, configure them as public or private, and manage member join-requests through a structured approval workflow (Pending, Approved, Rejected, Blocked). Built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on the front end, Python (Django) on the back end, and a MySQL database, the system provides a unified, user-friendly platform that simplifies group discovery and trip coordination for travel enthusiasts.
